iPhones capture incredible photography, but Apple saves photos in HEIC format or large high-res JPEGs that government portals and email clients frequently reject. Here is how to shrink photo size on your iPhone in seconds.

The iPhone HEIC Format Challenge
iOS devices capture in HEIC by default. While space-efficient on your phone, non-Apple websites often display 'Unsupported format'. Converting and compressing to standard JPG solves both format and file size barriers.
Compressing Photos in Mobile Safari
Open [HEIC to JPG](/tools/heic-to-jpg/) or [Compress JPG to 100KB](/compress-jpg-to-100kb/) in Safari. Select your photo directly from the iOS Photo Picker. SnapReduce converts and compresses the image locally on your device.
Adjusting iOS Camera Format Settings
To have your iPhone shoot in JPG by default: Go to Settings > Camera > Formats and select 'Most Compatible'.
